An eager Preparatory School pupil enhanced her learning thanks to a mammoth cycle ride.
Agatha Favill, a Year 3 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, took to her bike during the Easter break to cycle 20 miles between Dolgellau and Barmouth as part of a special learning voyage.
The seven-year-old took in a variety of sites on the scenic path, and also got the chance to find about more about the region’s rich history.
This included learning about old railways, ship building and the numerous estuarine birds along the way.
There was also time for a quick pit stop where Agatha was treated to fish and chips as a reward for her fantastic efforts.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “We always encourage learning outside the classroom and during the holidays here at Rydal Penrhos, and this was a wonderful effort from Agatha.
“She is a very energetic pupil who always gives her best in every task, and things such as this are a great way for her to find out more about her local area, while getting some good exercise in the process.”
