A large number of young pupils were rewarded for their hard work throughout the year at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Pre-Preparatory Speech Day.
Parents, staff and pupils descended on the School Hall on Monday, July 2, where they enjoyed a fabulous event thanks to teacher and Head of Pre-Prep Gaynor Davies, who was taking part in her final Speech Day before taking a well-earned retirement.
All pupils received certificates for their efforts throughout the academic year, which ranged from Early Years to Year 2.
There was also a special ballet performance from all four age groups, and the showcase concluded with two songs from the entire Pre-Prep group.
In addition pupils also received swimming and gymnastics certificates, while special awards were dished out to the pupils who had shown promise throughout the year.
There were a host of individual prizes for attainment, effort and the ever popular ‘good-egg’ awards for their superb accomplishments both academically and during their extra-curricular activities.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “This was another fantastic celebration of the wonderful academic year each member of our Pre-Prep has contributed towards.
“They are such an enthusiastic bunch who are guided superbly by our dedicated teaching and support staff, which ensures they continue to thrive in the safe and relaxed environment we provide here at Rydal Penrhos.”
