As part of a special feature, we take a look at some of the strong individual performances that contributed to Rydal Penrhos’ record-breaking A-level results this summer.
We continue with Becky Lawton:
Becky has been a fantastic contributor to all areas of school life since enrolling as a Year 6 Prep School pupil in 2010.
The 18-year-old is a multi-talented individual who has thrived in a number of different departments, and has benefitted enormously from the support and guidance afforded to her by dedicated staff situated at Rydal Penrhos.
Her ability to create has produced some fantastic Art pieces that took pride of place at the school’s annual exhibition, and Becky’s efforts on the Netball court earned her regional representative honours during her time at the school.
The departing Sixth Former has also made a huge contribution to various charity events held for regional and national causes during an extremely busy final two years of school life, with her enthusiasm evident throughout.
This was reflected in her outstanding A-level results, which included A* grades in both Art and Design and Religious Studies thanks to her incredible dedication to her academic progress throughout her time at Rydal Penrhos.
She also managed to achieve an A mark in French, and Becky will now head to the University of Durham to study Psychology.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Becky is a fantastic young woman who displayed a great attitude not only to her academic studies, but also during the wealth of opportunities available to her and each pupil living and learning at Rydal Penrhos.
“Her exceptional A-level results reflected this and everyone at the school wishes her the very best of luck as she moves on to the University of Durham.”
