Eve Durrans, a Year 8 pupil at the school, was part of the North Wales U13 squad that that competed at the UK Girls' Regional Hockey Championship and Trophy Competition, which was held at Nottingham Hockey Centre earlier this month.
Fellow pupils Ariana Milligan and Lily Davies were also part of their squad, thanks to a series of standout efforts during a trial period.
Throughout the weekend, the team came up against some well-established, talented teams from around the UK, and they grew in confidence and ability as the tournament progressed, playing some impressive hockey with determination and grit.

Eve’s consistent level of performances also earned her the North Wales Player of the Tournament, which was awarded to her by coaches at the tournament.
Head of Physical Education Nicky Head, said: “Eve has really grown in stature throughout the season not only in terms of the level of her performance, but her ability to lead and inspire other squad members has also significantly improved.
“Hopefully this is just the start of great things to come for her and we look forward to developing her skills even further throughout the upcoming academic year.”
